Rioja Brings Spanish Spirit to the LAWFF
An unforgettable weekend of flavor, creativity, and connection at LAWFF 2025.
This November, Rioja brought the warmth, energy, and craftsmanship of Spain’s most celebrated wine region to Santa Monica as the Official Wine Sponsor of the Los Angeles Wine & Food Festival (LAWFF). Over three days at Barker Hangar, guests explored an extraordinary blend of culinary innovation, artistic expression, and world-class wines—all set against the vibrant backdrop of LA’s food scene.

A Taste of Spain in Southern California
Festival-goers discovered the full spectrum of Rioja wines—from bold, expressive reds to bright rosados and crisp whites—each telling the story of a region that’s been perfecting its craft for more than a century. Rioja’s tasting pavilion invited guests to explore the diversity of Spain’s Denominación de Origen, showcasing how tradition and innovation come together in every pour.
The Kickoff Party at Hotel Casa del Mar
Before the festival gates even opened, Rioja hosted the LAWFF Kickoff Party at The Conservatory at Hotel Casa del Mar. This exclusive, trade-only evening gathered chefs, sommeliers, distributors, and media from across the country for a celebration of creativity and collaboration. Against the coastal backdrop of Santa Monica, guests enjoyed curated tastings of Rioja wines and lively conversation that set the tone for the weekend ahead.
Celebrating 100 Years of Excellence
As Rioja marks its centennial as a Denominación de Origen, LAWFF offered the perfect stage to share its legacy with a new generation of wine lovers. The event highlighted Rioja’s continued evolution—embracing innovation, sustainability, and global partnerships while staying rooted in its storied heritage.
Looking Ahead
Rioja’s presence at LAWFF was more than a showcase—it was a celebration of connection between Spain’s finest wine region and California’s thriving culinary community. From the Kickoff Party to the tasting floor, every sip reflected the passion and artistry that define Rioja.
Cheers to another 100 years of raising the standard for wine, culture, and celebration.
