New Documentary Series, “Rioja Paired” Premiering September 2024

The Documentary style series Explores the heart of Rioja, a region renowned for its exceptional wines and rich culinary traditions

Exploring Spain’s Finest

Hosted by the acclaimed Marti Buckley—an award-winning author, trained chef, and expert on Spanish and Basque cuisine—this documentary offers a captivating journey through the viticultural and culinary landscapes of Rioja. Over the course of 4 or 5 episodes (each approximately 20 minutes long), viewers will be treated to a feast for the senses, exploring everything from ancient recipes and traditional food pairings to the innovative creations of Michelin-starred chefs.

Marti Buckley brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the series. Originally from Alabama, she has lived in northern Spain since 2010, immersing herself in the local culinary scene. Her book, Basque Country, won the IACP Cookbook Award in the 2019 International category and Best Publication from the Basque Gastronomy Academy. Marti frequently appears on Spanish and American television and radio, with her work featured in top publications like Food & Wine, Travel + Leisure, National Geographic, and Wine Enthusiast.
